Re: Fasting to the finish line

I am definitely one of the fasters you are referring to. I have all good intentions to complete 21/40 day fasts but the longest I have ever gone is 7 days. It is hard though to keep going and it is the hardest thing I have ever done. Despite that I am proud of the time I did 7 days and if I did 7 again I would be as proud.

I really believe that fasting is a process - start off with 1 day and increase to 3 days and then to 5 and 7 and then 10 and then 10+ days. All of this can take years to complete. Every stage is an honour and an achievement. However, there is always an exception to the rule. People who start a 40 day fast and go for it. They may never have done a fast before. What is their secret - maybe someone can tell me that??

I think this site is motivating and I am glad I found it. I would love to one of the longer fasters and the support I receive will definitely contribute to it.

Anyway I am on day 3 - horrible tongue and sore head. But I slept well last night - odd dreams - but glad I am on day 3 and hope I can make it to day 4 & 5!!

Good luck with your fast Daisy and may we be strong together. You sound motivated so I'm sticking with you as a fasting Buddy.
