ALBENDAZOLE RISKS: Hair Loss & Liver Damage
Hi Tropical Boy ~
High-dose or prolonged use of parasite drugs without frequent rest breaks is very risky business.
There are forum members who've lost their hair & impaired their liver functions as a result.
Their hair will grow back to normal. But healing an impaired liver may take a long time.
Thus, I advise in the Albendazole drug protocol (http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1566532#i):
"Warning: Taken for longer than 2 weeks without a 1-week rest break may result in temporary hair loss (Alopecia) or liver impairment."
Albendazole comparison studies show: Standard doses, repeated in 2-week cycles, w/1-week rest breaks, safely provide higher cure rates, less medication, & less risks of adverse effects versus high-dose or continuous treatment.
This method also precludes parasite drug resistance or immunity, which often occurs in high-dose or continuous treatment.
Another effective strategy to prevent drug resistance is to rotate the use of all parasite drugs on a regular basis.
Some parasite drugs shouldn't be taken by those w/existing impaired liver or renal functions.
Also, if taking other meds, always check the monographs for drug interactions.
Thus, I advise in all drug protocols:
"Carefully research all the pros & cons of drug treatment based on your overall health condition, medical history, & other meds you're taking (see above drug monographs & references)."
Take care & be careful.
Cheers ~ ICU
