Re: EDIT: Re: Anemia and fasting?

Hello NutNut,
if you are looking for verifiable proof such as blood tests, then you will be hard-pressed to find any, although Shelton did have his own Laboratory in monitoring his patients undergoing fasts. Science has had little interest in most alternatives, and especially concerning the fast, as monetary reward/gain is severely limited.
This was the also the opinion of Dr Johanna Budwig concerning her successful anti-cancer protocol.

Bear in mind the reason Curezone exists in the first instance: the failure of Mainstream in the cure of chronic disease, and where the symptoms of those diseases are largely managed in the pursuit of "repeat-business".

Most forums rely on the authenticated records of qualified health professionals dating from over a century and a half ago, and where testimonials were the "norm" in the absence of Scientific scrutiny. No double-blind trials here, or even the need for any.

Fasting is as close to a panacea as there ever will be: "If the disease cannot be cured by fasting then it cannot be cured" old German proverb.

There are very few contraindications to fasting as with eating, and where the main one is the "fear of fasting", so if someone embarks on a protracted fast in the remedy for their ailment, when most all else has failed them, then so be it.
However, the general advice given here is to ensure that before a fast is undertaken, the faster is adequately knowledgeable about their undertaking, and the questions asked on the forum are a shortcut to their answers from people (like myself) who are extremely experienced and knowledgeable about the process.

Your comment that "Detoxing is one thing curing an illness is another" reveals your limited knowledge of the fast and the fasting process: fasting is not just about detoxing, it is also about the main task of the body: self-healing.
If you understood that the basic cause of disease is a result of enervation and resultant toxemia, then you probably wouldn't make such comments.

No one is being "gung-ho" (as you put it) about underlying disorders, but we do rely on the repeated successes in most all disease of those health professionals who support us now, or have gone before us.

It is true that fasting is not for everyone, but it is Natures very own remedy dating back to the times of Hippocrates and Paracelsus.

The Heamoconcentration (an increase in the concentration of red blood cells in the circulating blood) that you refer to, and the Hygienic records and testimonials of Anemic patients generally, whether of a Primary or Secondary cause, is of a permanent nature that addresses the true cause of the physiology, and not a temporary measure that you have suggested.
This was born out of the testimonials and experience of Natural Hygienic Doctors of years past.

A suggestion here would be for the poster to undergo a fast of up to 10 to 12 days or so, followed by a plant-based diet, whilst simultaneously having mainstream tests, with a follow-up within the months and years ahead.
This will prove my point to the doubting-Thomas's.

The MS faster that you refer to was probably in a more advanced stage, and where the fasts limitations are only that of the body and the progress of the disease. When ankylosing has developed to a certain point, no hope is left even though some improvement can be made. Hygienic records state that if MS is caught early enough, a full and permanent recovery is made from the true cause.

If a disease is not explainable, the Mainstream explanation is usually either down to Genes or viruses. Most all malabsorption problems can be resolved via water-only fasting, and this includes a perceived B12 deficiency.

Your last paragraph offers sound advice: seek an accurate diagnosis of your malady from a professional Doctor, and this usually lies mostly within Mainstream Medicine who usually excel at this; but then consider a viable and more permanent alternative which will mostly address the true cause of their malady and not just suppress symptoms.

Advice given here is both accurate and reliable.

Natural Hygiene also discovered this truism over 150 years ago.
