first test was..disturbing..
generic "spring water" from grocery...
LOTS of things in it..
...ok..bottle has been open to air..been on
counter for several days..maybe "things" fell in?
buy a new bottle of "polish spring" spring water..
pop the cap..ran three samples ...
first sample..used a dental pick to transfer
water drop. yeeech. things.
maybe pick contaminated?..clean..clean..clean..
try again..add a drop of Safranin stain to get some
contrast on some really faint..stuff..
yeeech...too many things in there..
? Safranin contaminated?..[dont ask how..lids never
been off..its a drip bottle]. I did use the dental
pick..i'm sure it's clean..but ..lets go entirely
barefoot for the third attempt..no stain..no tool..
just..pour water unto slide..and look for a clean
edge to compare "dry slide vs wet".
this is all very disturbing. all those..things..
can not be from a "dirty slide"..too many pics of
the "critters" being ONLY on the wet side..and not
on the dry side of the slide. an occasional bit of
microcrap on the slide..but they are few..far between
and nowhere near as GNARLY as what I'm finding in the
BOTTLED WATER....and the critters are just like what
is in my tap water..
wtf?.. // have walked away from this for a few days.
I find it VERY HARD to believe that those THINGS are
so heavily represented in the "clean" bottled water.
** will be doing photo recon runs on distilled water
