kind of related to above post in that I do not feel that wiping out bacterial "overgrowth" with Antibiotics is the best course of action.

Better to feed the bacteria properly. Good suggestions here, IMO. Insoluble fiber in fruits and vegetables and buttermilk to provide beneficial bacteria.
