I hope that becomes a trend.

"We the People" need to take charge of our communities about this spill instead of leave it to the corporation executives and the cowards of Washington, but the social media of the internet will have to be put to better use.

I just finished editing a post I wrote on the "Test forum".
The oil industry BP only wants to recover oil it can sell. The oceans supply half of earth's OXYGEN. The oxygen in the ocean AND atmosphere right now is one of the biggest problems from the spill. It will get worse. The Corexit will complicate things. The flashpoint of Corexit is 116 degrees faranheit (hot sun on the hood of a car might ignite FUMES very easily or oxidize atmospheric oxygen).

The final copy of the post is below....
===============================

On June 3, 2010, the Coast Guard released a PREDICTION of how bad the spread of oil could get. With the storms expected in Atlantic Storm Season (18) and the likely stoppage of cleanup/control, the oil could become a problem for the whole country (fair is fair!).

We won't be breathing OIL ONLY, but DISPERSANTS that are TOXIC.

AssociatedPress — June 03, 2010 — NOAA has released animation depicting how wide the oil spill may spread if the loop current in the Gulf of Mexico is in a typical configuration. It suggests the oil may spread up the Eastern Coast and well into the North Atlantic. (June 3)

==================================
Earlier, I was attempting to add videos in my post here that would show time as an enemy in the hope that I could be more diplomatic.

Over the years, I've noticed that many important occurences have been IGNORED by 'the social media'. Things like KINGSVILLE, TEXAS, the TOPOFF exercises, British soldiers being active on American soil, etc. Whether the 'commercial media' (news reports) mentions them with truthful details or not, there are no eyewitness accounts from the residents of these communities shared on the internet (complete silence from residents). This is also happening right now from GULF RESIDENTS. Maybe I missed something, but even after almost two months of the oil spill, I haven't seen one blog or post on the internet offering an EYEWITNESS ACCOUNT from a resident with DETAILS of what they and their community are presently experiencing and the consequences they face in the future (complete silence).

Obviously, the concept of the internet as a "social media" has failed because the American people have failed to use it properly. We prefer HOLLYWOOD GOSSIP and also enjoy the opportunity to present ourselves as victims of political schemes, conspiracies, and corruption from Wall Street corporations and the lobbies.

We want to blame the commercial media and the government, BP and Obama for the present MEDIA BLACKOUT, but our neglect of the social media is what they are counting on. The corruption and lax regulatory agencies for corporare operations has also enabled this spill to happen, but only because we have traditionally neglected to communicate with each other about what the commercial media hides.

There's too much "Woe is me, I'm a victim and long suffering hero" glory seeking. Why don't the Gulf residents tell us what's really going on?

Even though the Kingsville incident happened just before CZ was officially online, I never heard any residents EVER report their experience in a blog or post. That has been the same all across America. What's really happening in the Gulf states???
