Shin bone fracture?

Has anyone here ever experienced a shin fracture, or a spot of pain on your shin bone? This is not like a shin splint. This feels like a bruise, right against the bone. Walking does not hurt at all, just pressure on the spot. I've had stress fractures in my foot before, and it felt like this. ... but my shin??? The stress fractures were non-injury, as is this pain. I have been on extensive prednisone treatments over the past 10 years, and have hypothyroidism. I'm a 31-year-old woman. My father's sisters both have osteoporosis. Fortunately, I will be seeing an orthopedic doctor this Wednesday, but I'm just seeing what I can find out online first. I forget the medical term for the two shin bones... if I slide my fingers down my shin, from my knee, I hit a sore spot a few inches above my foot, on the inner side of the bone. Tweet
