I ordered the Iodine Salve back at the end of January. I've been using the same bottle and so far it hasn't gone bad yet and works just as well as the day I got it.

Regarding the hypertropic scar, I should mention that when I was Iodine deficient I would scar very easy and got a bad cut on my forehead. I tried almost everything I could think of. I even tried low level laser therapy which did provide the best results but there was still room for improvement.

I then tried topical 2% Lugol's without DMSO off and on for a while and that was too cumbersome and messy to keep up with. Not so with your Iodine Salve. The Iodine Salve works just as well as topical 2% Lugol's and is "extremely" easy to use ... not to mention the Iodine Salve doesn't stain the skin. I try to apply the salve twice a day when I can. My guess is in another 6 months the scar will be 100% flat.

By the way, now that I'm saturated with Iodine and SSKI I no longer scar. I also try to apply topically on any bad cuts just in case though.

I should also mention that I've also applied, as well as a few others, topical 2% Lugol's for male pattern baldness and it works to remove the itch that's associated with hair loss and also appears to help to limit hair loss as well. Applied once or twice per week works well.
