Hernia?

dear Hv--what do you know about "hernias"? Do you have an inside 'scoop'? My partner had one in 2000 (on the lower right)and was in a lot of pain--Finally was referred to the "Shouldice Clinic" here in Toronto, Ontario--This is said to be one of the greatest. (I was told about it in 1983, when a chiropractor suggested I had a "haital" hernia--I never did anything (surgery-wise: I was young! a new mother!) about it -- and have not suffered since.

personally, I believe there are good chiropractors and bad--it's like MD's...Lotsa bad (or so-so, and good for the ones referred to....:-)
.

He's in pain again, these last few days...Worried about livelihood..and feels like it's sort of the same feeling, but higher on the right side...(Not where they did the surgery)

Not constipated--he says. no problem, that way...
He has a sense the last while of moving slower, and being able to lift and haul less, although he's fairly positive
and loves his work despite the hardships -- which really help a lots of people. (he's a master colourist:creates colours for people and places that are life-changing for his clients--ironic. He often (at home, and when in pain) goes into zones of talking as if (this) life is soon to come to a close...

the body is s real challenge...might not be relevant but he had a polio shot as a kid, and thse body issues are somehow connected...

He's looking rather 'belly-ish' to me too this last while, and it's odd--since we eat one meal a day, (and no, he doesn't eat out), and otherwise drink tea or water...(sometimes nettles).

And I did a Water Fast for 26 days recently -- finished Easter --while I made him that one meal a day -- a good healthy meal. But he doesn't have the ability to exercise, other than the work--since the body is so compromised. He uses a staff to walk, and it takes GREAT focus to move.
Thus the back muscles and stomach musles are lax...

Here's the odd thing: he's beeen staying with/caring for a cat since thursday night--who's had two surgeries on his bowel system--maybe even hernias...? don't know the specifics...He's an indoor cat though; (the one i mentioned a few days ago).

Please--what can you tell me? I have "retired" my doctor, and so has my partner, since a few years--(and he's never received any meds or help for his issues -A men!) so, he's looking at having to see a neurologist, (old doctor) and getting a referral to a family doc, or hernia clinic...

I just foresee nothing helpful --last time he saw a doc he had an MRI and felt really jangled and frankly F$^ked! big time--for several days...

He was told nothing...

I am very wary of his getting into the system--I honestly think maybe he's resonating with the cat he's looking after-- (i know it sounds odd.) He does that sort of thing--takes on other energies...His mother (84) has had hernias and now wears a truss...She seems to be experiencing a revival; it's spring -that helps!- and she's back to drawing: she's a respected painter (visual artist), and he is an artist too.

Any light you can shed (or questions that would lead to the same)would be much appreciated...

When I say he's an artist--yes; it's true, but without the body working at least halfway it would be hard, and he's thinking about theta and feeling very stressed tonight.(at the same time, the car -old car- is leaking oil for a few days, and we are not rich (in $$$). Please forgive any glaring errors and typos--it's late and I am tired.

I wanted to thank you, as well, for all your time! You do so much good work for others...It's all GOOD!
the great bank of Us All. :-)

thanks,
Chiron
