Yes--And the irony is, it's best to simply stay away; stay home as much as you can, and learn to make your food your medicine--and your medicine your food. (Many people don't really get that second part.) 27 years today, I knew everything would be fine as long as I had a home birth--I knew that were i to go to a hopsital it would be a bad scene. It turned out that labour took some time, that for a time it "wasn't progressing", and finally, my son presented arm first, rather like superman. This is a difficult position-- I'm so thankful for the midwives I/we had. + I am sure there would not have been a natural, peaceful birth, had I left home.
