Re: nothing begets a rant like a rant. :-)
"You have insurance. Doctors and hospitals will milk insurance until it runs out if they can."
yeah; this struck me as rather comical, if you look at it in a certain -albeit twisted-to-the-truth- light. That is, if only there wasn't oftentimes a person who gets shafted and then dumped like so much waste.
But the image of doctors milking the insurance companies dry, is an odd sort of Danse Macabre. And the shoes fit.
Retire your doctor! (some might go futrher, and say "fire!") Let the automaton MDs work a bit harder for their 'business'. Let the very good ones keep on doing the good work (of "first do no harm) and let the "patients" take their health into their own hands. The old cliche of "obey nature" seems to make sense.
*I haven't seen a doctor in ten years, ansd (ironically?) each one of those years I've been getting consistently better. Prior to that I was misdiagnosed with COPD and gievn drugs and a poor prognosis; almost killed through being given blood thinners when I had meningitis, and it's only been uphill ever since I realized that I needed be my own (natural) physician.
