You know, I do feel really lucky, but I feel the only reason I'm better is because I was openminded. I tried lots of failing strategies before this and spent money, and of course none of them helped. I could have quit... or never tried, or half heartedly tried, like so many people do.
The fruitarian diets and vegan diets are very cleansing, and I believe a few months of that can actually help. God, anything is better than processed and microwaved food PERIOD. I actually believe some people can thrive on these diets on a long term basis, unfortunately that number is very low and I know for certain that I'm not one.
Dr Mercola talks about it in his book "Control Your Health", how some people are High Protein and how some are high carb. Neither is right or wrong, just depends on the person. Biggest mistake high carb people make though is not including a little bit of high quality protein, like raw egg/milk, in their diet.
