Re: critter show & tell (sphere of white goo)

*slaps face*

I HAVE a calibration slide..{!}
a mm target [1,000 microns]
divided at .01 mm intervals [10 micron divisions]

use it all the time with the DESKTOP microscope..
.by comparing a PHOTO of the calibration
slide..with a given lens combination
vs the pics taken with the big scope.

don't know why it never occured to me to do the
same with the hand held scopes. Not thinking clearly
anymore. I hate this crepe'...mind functioning at about
the level of a rabbit these days..
[really does feel like poisoning of some kind.
treacherous little bastids..]

Will paste up a calibration shot..or two..for the
currently used handheld scope. [2 Meg pixel imager
is a significant improvement over the older 1.3 Mpix
camera.] But REALLY have to hack the illuminator so that
can suck the electrons it needs from the USB power..
NOT "a pair of AAA dry cells every two hours". Really annoying..
camera is connected to USB cable..but I must
feed it batteries like it was a baby bird..[a bird that..eats AAA cells]
