The liver is the foundation of health. It produces the enzymes that metabolize the nutrients in your foods and those that detoxify the wastes. It suffers from malnutrition as well as poisoning when we eat the Standard American Diet. Not enough of the right nutrients, too many toxins from alcohol, medications, etc.
As the liver is the one organ in the body that can regenerate itself, it make sense to care for it, cleanse it and nourish it. As one's liver becomes more vital and effective, one's health improves in every way imaginable. Of course, this happens slowly, with sustained efforts to improve diet as well as cleansing the body.
The symptoms of lowered liver funtion are numerous. Bloating, itching, aching, sunken eyes, dry skin... Most of these are relatively mild, affecting the quality of life subtly. A healthy liver causes people to notice many different improvements. Check out the "Liver Flush: Documenting Health Effects" forum. //www.curezone.org/forums/f.asp?f=565&t=45199
