Any computer wizards? Scanner adaptor question

Hi all,

sorry--I know this is not a health question, but it's a bit of a mental health question, in that a problem equates to a mind at ease! I have an agfa snapscan e50, that has hardly been used, and has a great ability to scan slides...I thought I'd lost the power adaptor, and looked everywhere, but now I'm thinking maybe the one I'd always used (given me by the tech person) was a 1.2 A 16 v adaptor. The thing is, I never took note of the numbers and all before now, when I'm hunting high and low for a 15 volt adaptor, as specified on the scanner.

It seems impossible to find one!!! And agfa has discontinued the scanner range!

My question is, would the 16 volt be okay to use? Would it cause damge to the scanner or the computer?

I would LOVE to get theis scanner working again. I need to!

thanks so much for any help.

Chiron
