I am trying to gain lean muscle mass since I'm an athlete, and workout about 3 times per week. I've been doing orange juice fasting periodically for the past year or so, and taking the all in one formula. But when I'm training, my body demands protein and higher calories, so I eat a lot of lentils, beans and rice to maintain my energy. However, I'm still finding it quite difficult to gain weight eating this way.
My question is, what are some natural and healthy muscle building foods I can eat every day to gain lean muscle? I like to do orange juice fasting at least once per month as well. What's the best way to incorporate fasting, with training? It's especially challenging to fast when it's difficult to gain weight.
