Re: nettle leaf

It does taste great. I've been converted.

I've caught several your post referring to nettle's anti-histamine properties. But it brings to mind something that puzzles me a bit. I've always considered histamine production an indication that the body is working - as we know those histamines help us eliminate substances recognized (rightly or "confusedly") as foreign/harmful. I've avoided even natural anti-histamine products for this very reason. I don't have any true allergies that I'm aware of, but do know that I have massive histamine production due to the mold party going on in my resp. tract - and often wish I could just slow down that production, as those symptoms alone (sneezing, runny nose, etc.) can cause such disruption and turmoil, cause me to be unable to eat, continually nauseous and so on. But I endure thinking it's all a sign that my body is actively fighting and ridding itself of the crap that needs out.

That being said - can you explain why one should want an anti-histamine, however natural?
