Supporting the liver with herbs between flushes

Have you considered taking a course of liver supporting herbs to help strenthen and rebuild you liver in between flushes?

Milk thistle helps to protect the liver from toxins and stimulates growth of new liver cells. Dandlion root and burdock help clean the liver. These three herbs are frequently sold in combination formulas at health food stores.

My husband was put on very toxic pain killers after a car accident a few years ago. The drugs made his skin grey, his eyes yellow and gave him a strong billious Body Odor . His liver dropped to only 20% functioning according to the blood tests ordered by his MD. She sent him home to "put his affairs in order". He came home from that Dr's visit apologizing to me for the fact that he was dying. I told him he couldn't get away from me that easily (smile) and put him on a course of Milk Thistle formula. His liver function was back up to 80% within three months, 100% in six months (per lab results - I realize doesn't mean 100% in absolute terms). I'm hoping to get him to do some Liver Flushes eventually.
