?? re: Uny's tooth powder

I have a crown that has been on my front tooth for over 30 years. I broke the tooth on the windshield of a car and it had to be capped. The tooth is starting to ache after all these years. This is the original crown and it has held up a LOT longer then I expected. The ache is off and on but it is really starting to concern me. My dentist said a new crown would not take the ache away and I am most likely looking at a root canal. I have had all my Amalgams out and I have read enough about root canals to know I don't want one. My only other choice would be a bridge and I really really don't want that. I was wondering if anyone has experience with the toothpowder and if it might be helpful with this problem. I worry about an infection and hoping to calm this thing down. I appreciate any thoughts or suggestions:)
