Checked out the link about Rifaximin; so these Aids patients took 400mg 2x day? But how many days? 7 to 8 weeks? I worry about the effects on the bacterial flora in my gut as according to my CDSA lactobacilli and bifidobacterium are at low levels and I do have huge problems with candida.

Will ask my doctors about that Rifaximin though. I already mentioned to my doctor the fact that cysts need to be killed to prevent recurrence but she didn't really react to that.

I think their thinking is that they will boost my immune system until it mops up cryptosporidium by itself. Its been done for Aids patients when all else fails too.

Investigated "Hyperimmune bovine colostrum" that also has been used to treat one Aids patient in whom all Antibiotic treatments had failed. Although they infect the cow previously and collect the colostrum specifically engineered against cryptosporidium - then they infuse it directly into the guys jujenum through a nasal IV. But crypto was eradicated in a couple days - cyst and all.

All this is impossible for me, there may be some benefit in bovine colostrum to restore local gut immunity - in the form of Ig.

Otherwise I can't think of anything else. But glad to hear Diarrhex is helping you! Maybe one day, we'll hit the jackpot.
