I wish I got iodine into her sooner....

So my cousin calls me yesterday that she has been bleeding for 14 days.

She is 46 and she said that she had her period for 14 days. She went to the local emergency room because she was so weak she could hardly stand.

They wanted to transfuse her and they also found a fibroid the size of a tangerine.

I told her to do nettle tea and black strap molasses for a few days to build up the iron store. The problem is, she is still bleeding quite heavily.

She went againt today to her doctor who is going to give her a blood transfusion (her level was 7.9) and do a surgery that cortarized (not sure of spelling)the uterus and that will stop the bleeding. Apparently, she will never get a period again. She is already being prepped as we speak. She called me because they were going to give her a spinal because she ate today. I asked her why she couldn't do the procedure tomorrow and she can fast now but, get this one, the doctor is going on a ski trip so the procedure needs to be done today. I then questioned the use of the spinal, saying that she needs to lay flat for 24 hours and she knew nothing about any of this. She doesn't even know the pro and cons of this procedure.

My point is....STAY THE HECK OUT OF HOSPITALS IF YOU CAN AVOID IT! THIS WOULD NEVER HAVE HAPPENED WITH IODINE.

I told her about it when I started and she was not interested.......oh well. Life is about choices. Tweet
