Re: A Question about Mulberry
No problem.
It just happens to be something I was looking into myself.
We were trying to include some Mulberry extract in our products, but I concluded it wasn't worthwhile.
I'm actually in Shanghai now. If you really want some Mulberry tea or something like that, I can try to pick some up for you and mail it when I return to the States next month (at my cost.)
They don't sell the extract in the stores here but, would you believe it, one of the products I sell has Mulberry extract in it (the cold and flu drops.) Apparently, Mulberry boosts the immune system according to at least one study I've found. And it is used in Chinese medicine for that purpose as well as an anti-diabetic (yes, they do traditionally use it as an anti-diabetic.)
I can see if the factory that makes it can send me some of the extract at his cost for you to try, but it will obviously be bulk powder. You will probably need to take a gram or so with each meal. If you are truly interested in this, I will tell you the exact dosage later.
Anyway, I hope you will be successful with lowering your blood sugar. We have diabetes in my family, too, so I've tried to find some herbs and remedies that would be helpful. Nature has a lot to offer in this area, and it is almost criminal that more is not being done to research that.
