i will only list those products which i feel are safe. please consider all other products as ones i have no first hand knowledge of. you can count on these offerings.

lugols strong Iodine solution 5% - the only place i recommend to buy from is jcrows. jeff pitched a fit here but his product and service are unmatched. dosage is simple and based on the Iodine project doctors and the vast wealth of knowledge published here and of course my own personal experience and knowledge. 50mg(8 drops) in the morning in water on an empty stomach. detox symptoms range from none to severe. the worse the reaction, the more Iodine is needed. the reverse is not true of those who feel nothing. they may actually be worse off and not able to uptake iodine. thats where the "companion" nutrients come in. if you find you cant handle 50mg, its probably a halogen imbalance or heavy metal poisoning or both. the fix is usually to take more. up the daily dose to 100mg. that and check the FAQs. upping the dose usually takes care of it. at this level of supplementation you are a million miles away from any kind of overdose. what you experience will be the result of your environment and lifestyle over the course of your entire life. you may even revisit some old maladies, both physical and emotional. for me, iodine is a major clause in my new lease on life.

iodoral - this is quite simply the pill form of lugols. its use would be same as above. the stated purpose of iodoral is for those who get an upset stomach from Lugols and for research purposes to have a standardized dose which is hard to achieve with a liquid. some have stated this form delivers more I2 into the bloodstream. it is more likely that it is delivering I2 into the bloodstream for a longer period of time resulting in greater exposure of tissue to elemental iodine. the difference that makes a difference is if this is the only way someone will try iodine, its worth its weight in gold. also, if one simply wanted to support breastcancerchoices by buying from them, that too is money well spent.

both forms of Lugols are heavy on the elemental yet light in overall iodine content. advanced iodine supplementation for total body sufficiency, deep detox and subclinical chronic infections takes building up and maintaining a large daily dose over time, up to a gram a day. this is impossible with Lugols alone without being wasteful or too expensive. any iodine product with elemental iodine in it can be boosted with the use of additional KI. this is true to make lower doses cheaper or higher doses more tolerable.

magnascent - this is an elemental iodine tincture that is energized in such a way to break the I2 bond and make single atoms. the actual difference in bioavailability is still being studied but, as they say, the proof of the pudding is in the eating and magnascent is mmm-mmm good in this guys book. this is the one i start my day with. being iodinated makes this one act like icing on the cake. dont let the low dose fool you. add a little KI later on in the day and you have the perfect way to supplement iodine in the 100mg range to keep all the halides at bay and keep everything running smoothly. it works for me and i rate it the best overall. there are other products of this type out there and i am sure they are fine but i KNOW john brookshires magnascent is the real deal and as a bonus the owner is a man of unbelievably good character.

SSKI - you can buy this other places but mines cheaper and it is 100% exactly what i take, and i dont cut corners on my supplements. you can buy KI from peter at vitaspace.com but you have to buy a whole kilogram. its a good deal for the serious experimenter. SSKI is not a complete iodine supplement in most cases, especially at first. the iodine project points out that when they first began and used KI alone they did not get the progress(concerning FBD and ovarian cysts and thyroid problems) they had hoped for. when they switched to lugols, things changed and that free iodine starting eating up that potassium in those cysts. i imagine that elemental is also necessary for a lot of the halogen displacement. it takes more than a 1:1 ratio of iodine to the other halogens in order to compete with them. but thats not the best part. though i sell a mineral for general use with no medical attributes, boy does the old literature say otherwise. look up the old posts on KI and you will see. food poisoning, lung infections, systemic infections - this stuff is safe and effective(another personal testimony).

SSKI 2% - same as above with 20 grams of I2 added per kilogram of KI. this is my answer to lugols but without the drawbacks. it is truly the single complete supplement on this list. it does everything in spades. dance a few drops of magnascent in your morning water and you lack nothing for the full range of effects. if one wanted to be miserly, one drop a day of this is equal to a japanese diet worth of iodine. 32 bucks for a thousand days worth of iodine? yep. take four drops a day and you have what i call the american minimum requirement of 100mg of iodine a day. i realize that i was regulated and pushed into this particular formula by outside circumstances but i have ended up with what appears to be, from the feedback so far anyway, a perfect replacement for lugols that is better and way cheaper by the milligram. i am shocked at what a good product it actually is, and i knew it was going to be pretty good to begin with. but alas, we all know what happened to betamax!
