Re: Olive oil
Hi,
HAY
Now that I have the good olive oil (Bariani), I have a couple of questions.
I have the 1 L bottles, so will 1 drop of oregano be enough to keep it fresh for a long time?
ACCORDING TO DR. CASS, YES............
With the oregano oil in it, do I still need to keep it in the fridge?
NEVER HEARD OF ANYONE KEEPING OLIVE OIL REFRIGERATED...
I think I've seen MH recommend up to 1/4 cup a day of olive oil, or was it one ounce a day?
SOME BOOKS SUGGEST PEOPLE THAT LIVE WHERE OLIVE TREES GROW AND THERE ARE NO COWS, ON A DAILY BASIS CONSUME 1/4 CUP OF OLIVE OIL PRODUCTS....OTHERWISE, A TABLESPOON DAILY IS GOOD OR AS MUCH AS DESIRED....I DON'T THINK ANYONE LIKES TAKING PLANT OILS, SO I HAVE NEER HEARD OF ANYONE TAKING TOO MUCH.
Is it best to mix the olive oil with orange juice or drink it "neat"?
BEST TO DRINK PURE ON AN EMPTY STOMACH AT BEDTIME, OTHERWISE ANYTIME PREFERD, AFTER ALL, IT IS JUST FOOD FROM A TREE.
The Bariani olive oil is awesome, by the way. It's the first time I've ever tasted the real stuff and it also looks totally different from what I used to buy at the grocery store.
Does anyone know why some of the raw "gurus" like Doug Graham and his 80-10-10 diet recommend against plant fats and oils?
YOU OULD HAVE TO TRY TO E-MAIL HIM AND FIND OUT. DON'T BE A FOLLOWER. SEE WHAT PEOPLE DO AND THEN FIGURE OUT WHAT MAKES SENSE FOR YOU.
I have his book and it has some good points, but my intuition tells me that that olive oil is good for skin and nerves etc.
IF HE SAYS OLIVE OIL IS BAD, THEN HIS BOOK IS PROBABLY TRASH.
MH
Thanks in advance,
Mira
