Personally I like eastern doctors much better than Western doctors.
They have great healthcare in Thailand if anyone feels likes traveling around the world to seek treatment, although that would be a rather costly option.
Oh yeah, and I think you're misinformed RedWagon. Not every AIDS patient dies from Candida. Nor does Candida affect only those who are HIV positive.
Also, pharmaceutical companies do know that Candida exists. Have you ever heard of anti fungal medications? They are prescribed to patients who suffer from Candida (yeast) infections. Who created these anti fungal medications??? The pharmaceutical industry.
Doctors don't get apprehensive when you talk about Candida, they are just misinformed about it. The conventional wisdom out there is that Candida infections only affect those who are immunocompromised, such as HIV or Cancer patients. Clearly this is not true, so I do agree that doctors need to be reeducated about it. But there are some doctors who know that Candida is more common than the general medical community believes. Good luck finding them though! It took me 10 years!
