As for your question about pickling lime, everything is about concentration.

Example: would you drink a glass of water with 1/4 cup of salt in it? I hope not. So, salt is dangerous!

35% hydrogene peroxyde is very strong and should be handle with care. Yet you can buy 3% hydrogen peroxide at stores and drug stores.

Same with pickling lime powder. The ML drink requires 1 tsablespoon of pickling lime water. The pickling lime water is 1 tablespoon of pickling lime powder dissolved in 1 gallon of water. And the drink take 1 tablespoon of that solution.

I, myself, take a lot more than 1 tablespoon of pickling lime water in my drink. So, don't worry.
