What I know is that this is partially true; the Norwegian hospitals never was much plagued with this superbug in the first place; but as a prevention they have for some years restricted the use of Antibiotics .
It is not illegal, but the MDs are requested not to give Antibiotics unless it is a good reason for it (provable bacterial infection) The type of Antibiotics also are restricted; one has the broad spectrum ones in store for though cases to come.
The use of antibiotics in animals; as milking cows, are down to a minimum, as one believes that this can bring on the problem with Antibiotic resistant bugs.
