I believe the dehydration was caused by the fever, not the iodine. Could be that the Iodine started a detox.
My own detox consisted of a series of fevers and flu like infections in a period of 2-3 months.


I have tried to help friends many times, not all was successful; especially those where I pushed to much and the person not fully embraced the protocol.
I found that the best help was to give info, but let them decide when they where ready; that is when they ask for help.

I do tell about detox reactions; not only Iodine start this, i.e homeopathic remedies are known to have strong worsening of symptoms + detox reactions as HIGH fevers before the bettering start.
If the patient is not ready for this, or not informed enough; it is better to wait, IMO (and in my experience)

Back to your friend; she has overian cysts and a low body temp, both denotes a need for iodine and companions + a good diet, herbs etc. She might not be ready yet; but tell her about this forum, send some info if she wants to, and leave the rest to her; she is the one in charge of her health, if she chooses to do so.

Be a good example yourself; be and look healthy and vibrant; then they come after you.
