Re: DoYou Lose More Then Stones When You Do A Liver flush?
Moonie,
To answer your questions, I quote from a book titled, "Human Anatomy & Physiology" 6th edition by Elaine N. Marieb (ISBN: 0805354638), page 782 under the section of "Aggregates of Lymphoid Follicles"...."Peyer's patches are large isolated clusters of lymphoid follicles, structurally similar to the tonsils, that are located in the wall of the distal portion of the small intestine. Lymphoid follicles are also heavily concentrated in the wall of the appendix, a tubular offshoot of the first part of the large intestine. Peyer's patches and the appendix are in an ideal position (1) to destroy bacteria (which are present in large ******* in the intestine), thereby preventing these pathogens from breaching the intestinal wall, and (2) to generate many "memory" lymphocytes for long-term immunity. Peyer's patches, the appendix, and the tonsils-all located in the digestive tract-and lymphoid follicles in the walls of the bronchi (organs of the respiratory tract), are part of the collection of small lymphoid tissues referred to as mucosa-associated lymphatic tissue (MALT). Collectively, MALT protects the digestive and repiratory tracts from the never-ending onslaughts of foreign matter entering those cavities."
On page 921 of the same book, "The appendix contains masses of lymphoid tissue, and as a part of MALT, it plays an important role in body immunity. However, it has a important structural shortcoming, its twisted structure provides an ideal location for enteric bacteria to accumulate and multiply." More information on enteric bacteria

The essence of cleansing your liver (getting rid of stones) is to remove any conditions suitable for multiplication of parasites, bacteria, viruses, prions and protein molecules which do not belong there and increase the efficiency of the liver in doing what it does best. You do not necessarily need to worry about replenishing the good bacteria as the competing nature of the proliferation of bacteria will increase the quantity of good bacteria in the colon within few days. You may eat home-made yogurt to replenish if that makes you feel good about yourself. Keep in mind, these bacterias number in millions and you remove a small percentage of them through your normal act of defecation everyday as you would through the liver cleanse. Hope this helps!
