I have been preparing my body for the last three years for pregnancy. I have done multiple fasts, colon and liver cleanses. I know these have worked to some extent because my Acne and hormonal headaches completely disappeared during that time. I have been completely off Sugar and all processed foods for quite some time, etc. I was very hopeful that I wouldn't get any sickness this time because I have been doing everything right and my body feels really good. I really thought my liver was up to the challenge of all the excess hormones. To my disappointment, I have still gotten some nausea! This has been very discouraging to me. Also, many people warn about fasting during pregnancy, because this releases your toxic load into your blood and as everyone knows, the baby has contact with everything in your blood. I don't want my baby exposed to my toxins, I would rather keep them and then do my fasting after I'm done breastfeeding. Any thoughts on this?
