Nutrition: Solids vs Liquids?

Is there much difference between nutritional absorbtion of solids vs liquids? Drinking juiced greens seems to keep nutrients from passing through the intestines as would happen when eating solid leaves. Eating apples seems to take the nutrients through a different digestive method than drinking apple juice. Is juicing removing a major benefit from solid foods, especially since we were designed to eat those foods as solids?
