put the wrong product in my eye
When I got to work this morning, I took from my purse the bottle of eyebright and the bottle of cayenne (both Dr. Christopher's) recipe on my desk. I put distilled water in the eyecup and picked up what I thought was the eyebright (I bought these from the same place so they are in identical bottles) and put 3 drops in the water. I put the eyecup over my eye, tilted my head back and right away knew this wasn't the eyebright. I had a "silent scream". I have never felt anything like this...INTENSE burning, pain in my head and dizziness. I took the cup off my eye, dumped the water and put fresh water in it and flushed my eye repeatedly over and over about 12 times the whole time thinking what damage I have caused. While the fresh water was on my eye, it felt okay but when I took it off to change the water, it was burning soooooooo bad, like my eye was on fire. My eyelid was swollen.
It's about 6 hours since then and amazingly, my eye is okay (I hope). I can see clearly and the floater I've had in that eye for approx 3 years now is broken up. I remember telling the eye doctor a few years ago that the floater looked like a snake (but now realize it's probably a worm of some kind). It always had the same shape but would sometimes move. Well, that thing appears to be broke up into 2 or 3 pieces. I have to look at the sky after work to get the big picture. Hope I haven't done any damage to my retina, etc.
MH, have you heard of anything like this and how it turned out for the unfortunate soul who did this (besides me)?
