Not necessarily.  Pollution has always existed.  And if we really think about it back in our earlier history sewage went in to our waterways untreated, smelters and many other industries were unregulated and spewed all sorts of pollution.  And even natural activity contributed to pollution such as wildfires and volcanic activity.

The pollution of the soil, and the air brings in a whole new ball game, in my opinion.

Again we have always had pollution. Rain water is some what distilled, is it not ?

If you have a vacuum cleaner with a really long hose that you can use to suck up clouds then this is the closest you are going to get to distilled water. And even this would not be pure.

The minerals are from the soil and rocks the water goes through,, no?

Actually they are utilized by the body. The whole "inorganic" minerals passing through the body or plugging up parts of the body is a myth.

I know that I would never drink the tap water from where I live. It is filled with parasites, fluoride, and good knows what.

I agree about the stomach acid problem,, it concerns me, there of my indecision.

Where do you get your water Hveragerthi?

Most of the water is from a reverse osmosis system, but I add DE to the water to help saturate it so the water is not so solvent and aggressive.  When I go to the mountains I fill containers with the well water from the campground, and when I travel to Arizona I fill containers with a natural spring down there.
