i gladly give blood. and no, i dont have it. recessive pretty much means both parents have to be carriers and pass it along. it means you have to be double alleled, meaning you have the gene for it on both sides of the dna. you can be a single alleled carrier and not have the disease but still be able to pass it along in your DNA passed through sex.
they think my dads dad had the disease and that his mom was a carrier. lots of the kids had it, not just my dad.
