Re: Js. mom - Re: Passed my BIGGEST one!!

I was so sick before I finally discovered the core causes of the parasites and the severely congested liver, I'm sure I had the imbalances prior to that. Like Pioneer referred to too, when you don't feel very well, you don't eat either. Parasites definetly soak up the nutrients too, and even when we think we are eating healthy stuff, the parasites (and metals too) interfere with us actually getting them.

I'm stil not assimilating protein very well either, and it showed on the hair analysis test as a problem for me. Said I need more protein..but that's mainly what I eat already. It's because it's not being assimilated.

My metabolism is still working slowly (connected to the adrenals and thyroid)

I don't feel like I'm overly stressed, which I know was a major problem for me in the past, and alot of why I probably got so sick to begin with too--
but I am still in the "resistance stage".

"The resistance stage occurs as the body attempts to adapt to the stress when it can no longer maintain an alarm stage. This stage of stress is best described as an endless battle, with the body attempting to contain the stress as it is unable to eliminate it"

Indicating impaired digestion, and impaired protein synthesis.

Body is predominantly in a "parasympathetic state. Due to the exhaustion of the sympathetic nervous system, which causes the body to shift to an unhealthy parasympathetic state to allow for some degree of healing and regeneration.

Additional rest is required and it is important not to push yourself or work too hard as these stimulate the sympathetic nervous system.

Immune system is impaired.

Indicates a trend for liver and kidney stress (ahh, yeh- dysfunctional liver for over 3 years would do that, even though it's finally working better now)

Significantly decreased cell permeability. This impairs the entrance of hormones, glucose and other substances into the cells. It also impairs the elimination of toxic substances from the cells. This may contribute to reduced adrenal gland activity, thyroid imbalance, cellular nutrient deficiencies, cellular toxicity and often symptoms of cellular glucose or insulin resistance.

I have:
low sodium (low blood pressure too 90/62 was last reading in June),
essential mineral for maintaining water balance and blood pressure,

low potassium (both regulated by the adrenals)requred for fluid balance, nerve activity and muscle activity.

low iron- required for energy production, blood formation and antioxidant formation.

low manganese-requred for sugar metabolism, tendon and ligament function, energy production, and thyroid activity

low chromium--may contribute to blood sugar imbalances, fatigue, elevated cholestrol, hypoglycemia, or diabetes

low selenium --"may impair detoxification and thyroid gland activigy

low phosphorus-- an essential mineral that is involved in protein synthesis and energy production within the cells. The hair tissue mineral level of phosphorus is often associated with the adequacy of protein synthesis in the body. This depends on the diet, lifestyle, condition of the intestinal tract and liver and the levels of other nutritional minerals such as zinc and copper (toxicity).

Low phosphorus level indicates excessive protein catabolism or tissue breakdown. Adequate protein synthesis is important for the regeneration of all body tissues.

But...when the ND or my husband also say I probably wouldn't have lived much longer in the state I was in 2 years ago, when I started (after giving up on MD's and alot of money later), I knew I was in bad shape, and getting worse. Looking back now though, I can see how long I had been having health issues that I hadn't understood at the time.

Lots of co-infections to go with the parasites too. The Rocky Mtn Spotted fever I got from a tick as a child, has been a major one..along with the EBV and CMV viruses.

I'm 50 years old. I'm not discouraged...it's better to know what I'm up against, rather than having MD's telling me I just have a "fatty liver", or "go home and lose 20#", or "we can put you on anti-depressants", spending thousands of dollars to not find out anything (other than my gallbladder was only functioning at 5%, and surgery)..they never would have found the parasites that had it plugged up, or the large cholestrol stones that were backing everything up.

The difference in the marker blood test 9 months after I started with nothing more than colon cleansing, parasite killing, and liver flushing--was very significant. Not just my liver was in bad shape, indications were that chance of heart attack and stroke were high too.
