Re: Sodium Bicarbonate vs. Candida and Cancer

I disagree with most everything that is being stated.  There are a few fungal triggered cancers, but I have seen a lot more solid evidence to viruses being involved in the majority of cancers.

And I don't see the pH of the environment as being a factor either.  First of all it has been shown over and over that the pH of the body does not vary much except in very rare cases.  They are confusing the cancer cell's production of acid as meaning the cancer thrives in an acidic environment.  Candida also generates acids from fermentation but studies have shown that Candida thrives in an alkaline environment and is controlled by acidity.

Baking soda may kill cancer cells in direct contact, but if it does this could be from something as simple as a change in the osmotic pressure of the cells.  If it did kill the cancer cells then this would not automatically mean that it killed the cancer cells by killing Candida.  This is why better defined research and extrapolation of the information is necessary.  It reminds me of the study that determined Saint Johnswort (SJW) herb caused infertility.  In the study they poured the SJW extract directly on semen killing the semen.  With this poorly designed test and extrapolation they came to the conclusion that SJW would therefore cause infertility if ingested.  But you know what?  Vitamin C will kill semen in direct contact.  So will oxygen.  Therefore, according to that study none of us should exist.  The same applies to the Candida-cancer claim.  Since Candida is a normal part of everyone's body, and many people with Candidiasis DO NOT have cancer I already see a big flaw with the claim.

And if alkalinizing the body cures cancer then why does cesium chloride have such as low success rate?  Why can't we cure cancer by hyperventilating, which alkalinizes the body really fast?  Why do people switching to an alkaline diet when they find they have cancer still die from the cancer?

I don't see any real substantiating evidence anywhere in the link.  Just one big hypothesis with a lot of questions still needing answers.
