When I think of this time of year I think of how the Hajjis have to give of themselves to even make this pilgrimage. Isn't that the greatest charity there is? I always thought that this trip was so hard physically to make. I mean the trememdous amount of walking and traveling they have to endure to complete this commandment.
Truly, the Hajjis must have a spirit of Thanksgiving in their hearts to accomplish this task. Is it a coincidence that this pilgrimage is set to take place at this particular time of year, around Thanksgiving?
So I was wondering if all of us shouldn't be so willing to give of ourselves and to be ever so thankful to our creator and God. May Islam set the example for all of us during this blessed time.
