Re: How to soothe this flare-up!!!
In "Optimal Wellness", Dr. Ralph Golan states that ". . . eczema is often the manifestation of a
food allergy . It may also be the result of an intestinal yeast overgrowth, intestinal toxicity or a deficiency of essential fatty acids and zinc. . . . It can also be tied to emotional instability and chemical sensitivity."
He recommends following an
Elimination Diet to avoid allergy-triggering foods, and using the Candida-control diet if yeast is a factor. For supplements, he recommends unrefined flaxseed oil (1 or 2 teaspoons a day), borage oil (one capsule two or three times a day), and zinc (30 mg. a day). He also recommends taking quercetin (300 to 500 milligrams two or three times a day), a bioflavonoid used to alleviate many allergic conditions. It helps block the release of histamine.
To alleviate intestinal toxicity, I recommend eating a healthy, high-fiber diet, and doing colon cleansing. I can tell you more about these if you are interested.
