yup. happens to me all that time at work. Especially when i stand up for my peers on a daily basis. The ostrich(head in the hole)cizing comes from a lifetime of programming people spent their lives in. Try this is out for a day. When you go to the grocery store and the cashier asks how you are doing say your doing horrible. This goes against their programing and they have no programing to react to this response. Thus you get a dear in head lights effect. Not picking on cashiers per se. Most the population is like this. Hence the osticizing. Its social programing meant to control each other. THere is a actual term for this, i just can't remember it.
