Accidently told you wrong about the amount of Iodoral: I cut back from four to three Iodoral a day in August after my boyfriend's new nutritionist freaked out about both of us being on four Iodoral a day. [Bf has prostate cancer, duration 17 years and post spot/loading lab testing conference had recommended that much Iodoral ongoing. He has been on it about 1.5 years. PC is still getting new vascularization, though, per imaging doc. Bf has now cut back to 2 Iodoral/day but is retesting soon and I hope will increase dose after that.] My own soft painless esophageal swelling has not changed since I cut back to three/day. Frankly I am extremely run down and exhausted after taking care of my mom for two years until she died in late July and traveling constantly to do so.

The objecting nutritionist is well recommended by the PC imaging MD for whom he "designed" a line of expensive supplements for PC and other cancers that the doc sells to patients after talking/scaring them off their former protocols. Apparently these supplements help some people a lot but have not helped my bf so far. The nutritionist is a PhD who scoffs at obtaining any type of state licensing [practices illegally and probably tax free]but has attitude and big docs who will play ball with him and sell his $$$$ products. I am not impressed with him professionally but did let him scare me back to three Iodoral a day. He was totally out of sympathy with Iodine supplementation for any reason. He just does not understand about the Iodoral, which is only part of what makes me think he is for the birds. However on the off chance he was right...

Maybe I needed even more instead of less Iodoral since I am coming off of being so stressed/debilitated? I am very vulnerable now physically and emotionally, and not thinking top notch. I know that sounds like thyroid symptoms but I think it is largely physical strain and exhaustion, from the very intense care-taking ordeal. Don't know what to do!!! We have both sent for new test kits from Dr. F's lab. Frankly I was afraid to go to my own MD and possibly have the Iodoral dosing show up in my blood work? without testing again for Iodine sufficiency/ excess first so I would have some explanation on paper for my MD. I have fear of having another medical person freak out on me [they can be so judgmental and scathing] or of inadvertently actually having done something to hurt myself.... All feedback welcome.
