Re: bleeding won't stop!!!!!!!!!!!!
I personally believe that it is the synthetic hormones in birth control pills, IUDs etc, and in HRT, that are causing the problems of excessive bleeding, pain, excessive length of time the bleeding occurs etc. I know from my studies that these problems do not occur so frequently in countries where hormonal birth control is either unavailable, or not widely used. The sheer number of women in western countries using hormonal birth control effectively means that everyone, including young girls, boys and men, are exposed to the hormones from these products, through the water they drink and the food they eat.
Hormonal birth control is directly connected to the controlling of women through their reproductive organs. The pathologising of women is a way of controlling them, we only have to go a little way back in history to see how women were medicated for being discontent or unhappy with their lives, and their roles in the family. (think valium etc). Birth control was designed so that women could be sexually available to men, without the risk of pregnancy. Contrary to what a lot of people believe, IMO this did not mean sexual freedom for women, it meant sexual freedom for men, and women were then slaves to a pill. This is my opinion and possible not the view of anyone else on this forum, but IMHO I believe that women are as varied in their menstrual cycles, as men are in their reproductive abilities, and this needs to be taken into account when judging what is 'normal' and not.
