I have been on 4 Iodoral a day [50 mg.] for nearly two years. I am not noticing any physical problems that I would associate with thyroid, but it looks like to me that there is an enlargement off my right side of my trachea. There is no pain on palpating it and no hardness to the touch. The enlargement is soft an pliable. Could this be normal? I had originally gotten put on Iodoral after a test for Iodine sufficiency following sudden pain, tenderness, hardness, and swelling downward toward the clavicle in that same area that was making it increasingly difficult/ painful to swallow. All of that resolved but there does seem to be a soft visible enlargement still there. Is this a problem? Has anyone else who has been taking Iodoral for a long time noticed this? Should I bee concerned? What should I do? Keep taking the Iodoral? Knowledgeable feedback from peoples' expereince appreciated!
