Re: ladies: lengthy menstrual periods???

I'm 42 too. I have just been taking magnascent and SSKI for the past 2 months, but my period has actually decreased in length. I used to have horrible periods that lasted 10 days and were excruciatingly painful. Lots of clots, lots of blood. I started Iodoral back in June and it helped, my periods were better, but since starting Trap's mix, they have been fantastic. The best I have ever had. They have shortened to 5 days. I just finished my last one and there was no pain at all. I usually get terrible back pain for a couple of days before I start along with breast tenderness. I haven't had either for the last 2 periods. This was the first time that I had no pain what so ever during my period. NONE. I even passed a couple of clots which are usually very painful when that happens, but this time no pain. After talking with Wombat about my periods she suggested a couple of links that dealt with cod liver oil and I have started taking it. Maybe that made this period even better than the last one. I'm hoping that continued use of Iodine isn't going to make it come back. How long have you been taking iodine?

Here are the links Wombat posted for me. Very informative!
