What to take for Hypothyroid

I am pretty sure I am hypothyroid. My naturopath did bloodwork that showed poor T3-T4 conversion (I think that's right). Also, my adrenals were burned out (another test) and when I did a basal body temperature test on my own, I was 1 degree below normal every day. I am very fatigued and cold all the time.

I am just not sure what I should be doing about this. The naturopath gave me a natural formula containing Ashwaganda and Iron which I took for about 3 months. I am not sure if it helped or not. I guess I will start taking it again. I cannot take DHEA because it gives me heart palpitations even at small doses.

I think I am going to quit drinking Green Tea even though I love it. The caffeine is probably not helping. I am thinking of taking Kelp to see if the extra Iodine will help. Is this a good idea?

Any input or advice would really be appreciated. I don't want to take Synthroid or even Armour...I'd rather stick to herbs/diet/lifestyle changes.
