Good Bacteria and Eczema

Recent research has found a link between eczema and the levels of healthy bacteria in the body. Here's an article:

I believe this research to be true since I didn't have any problems with eczema until I used a cortisone nasal spray for three years, which suppressed the growth of good bacteria, and took a high powered Antibiotic for a staph infection. Moreover, I hadn't had any problems with eczema during the past two years until earlier this year when the swine flu scare hit. At that time, I began using Purell three or four times a day. The lowering of bacteria on my hands from the overuse of Purell may explain why I developed the last eczema episode. Although I haven't used the steroid nasal spray for three years, my good bacteria may also not be completely back to normal yet, too. It's something to consider when over using antibacterial products.
