Re: Bursitis
Hi paraboy
To answer your first question, indeed uric acid crystals may be a cause of bursitis. Gout just does not affect only the big toes. It is more systemic than that. And if not treated it will affect more and more parts of the skeleton and maybe other organs. The more I read about it the more it scared me.

Uric acid crystals can deposit in tiny fluid-filled sacs (bursae) around the joints. These urate crystals can incite inflammation in the bursae leading to pain and swelling around the joints, a condition called bursitis. In rare instances, gout leads to a more chronic type of joint inflammation which mimics rheumatoid arthritis.
In chronic (tophaceous) gout, nodular masses of uric acid crystals (tophi) deposit in different soft tissue areas of the body. Even though they are most commonly found as hard nodules around the fingers, at the tips of the elbows, and around the big toe, tophi nodules can appear anywhere in the body. They have been reported in unexpected areas such as in the ears, vocal cords, or around the spinal cord!

Crystal deposits
People with certain diseases such as gout, rheumatoid arthritis, or scleroderma, for example, may develop bursitis from crystal deposits. Little is known about how this process happens. Uric acid is a normal byproduct of daily metabolism. People who have gout are unable to properly break down the uric acid, which crystalizes and deposits in joints-a mechanism for causing bursitis.

I must say that the moreless alkalizing drink is the best thing that happened to me for a long run. I had gout, knee problems, and all kind of inflammatory problems on articulations for quite sometime.

I will not say it cured the conditions. For example, I was recently in vacation for two weeks. No alkalizing drinks and unhealthy nutrition. The weather not helping, it rained more than half of the days, I developed some pain in my left shoulder and a kind of small bursitis like pain on the elbow of the same arm. When back from my vacation and with better diet, no more bursitis, and the pain in my shoulder is practically gone. I took 3 or 4 drinks a day with a lot of lime water (8+ tbspoon) and ¼ teaspoon of Epson salt in each. I realized that when eating more vegetables, the amount of ES I must take should be lowered. With each drink I also take 1,000 unit of Vit D and 1Gr of ascorbic acid (Vit C). What helped also greatly is the understanding of acid/alkaline balance.
If you often have tendinitis and bursitis, an ultrasound device may help greatly. In the past I used often a personal device called sonic relief.
Use pH paper to confirm that the urine is acidic. Pain and acid levels are greatly correlated in me.
I hope the above help.
You can PM me if you feel the need for it.
Good luck
