stretched neck muscles causing headaches?

I have had headaches for over 35 yrs. I am on a detox campaign ie candida diet, CE, supplements. My headaches have subsided to almost none but in the last week - 10 days have returned and are now constant. I tried tracing my health history as far back as I can remember and thought they were triggered by wisdom teeth removal at age 16. I remember when I was little that my mother used to pick me up by my head to "stretch" my neck. She did this thinking she was doing me a favor so my neck would grow long. I now think she did damage to my cervical spine thus the constant headaches throughout my life. Any insight to this theory? I have been to chiropractors previously but don't think this was ever mentioned. Would adjustments help?
