I do agree with your post, but to say as Chiron has picked up on.............
"It doesn't hurt to start with a fast though, but it can be quite short, say, 40 minutes or so, that's all that's needed really".
No healthy Diet and however strictly adhered to can replace the efficacy of a lengthy fast conducted according to thirst in cleansing and healing the body.
But, I do agree with you that the post-fast diet (and lifestyle) would negate the reasons for fasting in the future, once their body is cleansed and healed, except for periodic annual cleansing of exogenous toxins. Endogenous toxins are largely avoided by a strict lifestyle which conforms to Orthopathic principles.
