Re: intermittent fasting
'And I don't think putting the body in to a state of ketosis is safe'
would you elaborate on that? a lot of weight loss plans seem to involve chetosis.
Ketones are formed from during the use of fatty acids as a fuel source as opposed to glucose. In small amounts the ketones are not an issue. In higher levels though they can lead to acidosis. This will not occur in the majority if individuals, but it can occur in diabetics and some other individuals. Since some people are not always aware of underlying conditions I think putting the body in to a state of acidosis is no a good idea.
About the stress, yes I feel it. I just thought it was an initial stress, once the body knows what to expect, it would be easier.
This makes me want to ask you another question. A lot of people advocate eating regularly, like at the same time every day, do you think it matters?
I think eating at differnet times of day is better. The reason is that if you eat at the same time every day you are telling the body that this is the time to get hungry and eat. So your body tells you to eat at that same time whether or not you need to eat because the body has been conditioned to eat at that time.
