NPN misinformation
I am seeing the trend that NPN's are the main problems with keeping the acid/alkaline balance in order to have health.
However, if NPN's didn't exist 200 or even thousands of years ago, why didn't people live much longer healthier lives?
Answer: NPN has existed on earth forever!
And yet life still managed to form and thrive despite all those supposedly toxic NPNs.
Example: When it rains a lot, this may Dilute the Alkaline Minerals down and increase the Nitrogen in the plant!
Actually, during thunderstorms the lightening creates nitrogen oxides that convert to nitrogen acids that then come down in the rain to help provide nitrogen to plants. Sunlight also plays a role here as UV light also creates the nitrogen oxides. And these can also come down in snow. Its all part of the nitrogen cycle. Anyone who owns a pool can attest to this as rain tends to cause big algae blooms in the pool from all the nitrogen if extra chlorine is not added to kill the algae.
Look at the rain forest vs the dry land areas and the difference in plant growth and Density of the plants grown under each condition!
Rain forest plants again receive a lot more nitrogen for the same reasons I stated above. And the soils are a lot more acidic than desert soils, which begs the question why haven't all the plants in the rain forest decomposed in to a big puddle of goo from the acidity?
NPN also comes about when the soil Life has been neglected and or Destroyed by any means, the most which is by mankinds destruction of the Organic Matter of the Soil and then fertilization with Artifical Nitrogen fertilizers!
Then why do most desert plants have lower NPN levels than farm or rain forest plants? Another FACT to keep in mind is that nitrogen does not stay in the soil. As nitrogen compounds are broken down nitrogen gas can be released and the whole cycle of conversion to acid that goes back to the soil is started over.
